Sometimes I’m Ashamed that I Watch TV

Honestly, that probably should read “most of the time”. I just was looking something up and I noticed that there were 108 episodes, or 5 seasons of the TV show “Renegade” starring Lorenzo Lamas. That’s embarrassing.

The plot synopsis from imdb.com

After crooked cop Lieutenant “Dutch” Dixon kills his girlfriend and frames him for murder, Reno Raines escapes from jail and goes on the run. Teaming up with Bobby Sixkiller and Cheyenne Phillips, Reno works as a bounty hunter while searching for the only man who can clear his name.

n.b. One of the fun things to do on imdb.com is to follow the hyperlinks for actors or movies they’ve acted in. Doing that for the writer of Renegade, Stephen J. Cannell, leads to the discovery of the fact that there is apparently a movie planned for The A-Team in 2008. That makes me sad. How are they ever going to replace George Peppard or Mr. T? I don’t want to see Ving Rhames as B.A. Baracas (full name Sgt. Bosco “B.A.” Baracus. Bosco?). (That’s just a guess; there’s no info about the casting of the proposed movie on imdb right now).

[opening narration]
Narrator: In 1972 a crack commando unit was sent to prison by a military court for a crime they didn’t commit. These men promptly escaped from a maximum security stockade to the Los Angeles underground. Today, still wanted by the government, they survive as soldiers of fortune. If you have a problem, if no one else can help, and if you can find them, maybe you can hire the A-Team.
