Claiming the Title

With Barry Bonds in decline for the last couple of years, the title of Greatest Player In Baseball is up for grabs. Alex Rodriguez has long been a contender for the title and perhaps he already claimed it, but if there were any doubts he is trying to put those to rest this year. He has another 2-HR game tonight, giving him 51 for the year. He could set a new AL record and Baseball Musings notes he is the first player to set the home run record for a season at two positions, SS and 3B. He’s making himself a lot of money for the next 5-7 years and it’s going to be fun to watch him chase Bonds’ record. Wow.
